Continuing Education at VSCHV
ATTENTION VETERINARY TECHNICIANS AND ASSISTANTS:
The Veterinary Specialty Center of the Hudson Valley is pleased to announce the beginning of a Veterinary Technician continuing education program. A different topic by technician specialists will be presented on the 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:30pm. The programs are offered through our office at 1285 Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, NY and dinner is included. We are also offering a preparation and review course for the veterinary technician national exam. If you are interested, please RSVP for each seminar that you will be attending. Space is limited so please call early!

- April 29, 2009 at 6:30pm: Pain Management-“Pain Management in Emergency and Critical Care.” Presented by: Jennifer Grady, RVT, VTS(ECC)-Emergency and Critical care supervisor at Oradell Animal Hospital and associate professor at Bergen Community College technician program. - June 24, 2009 at 6:30pm: Leptospirosis: “A Re-emerging Disease in Dogs”. Presented by Fort Dodge. (RSVP by June 15th)
- August 26, 2009 at 6:30pm: Nutrition and the use of probiotics. -“Managing microbes for wellness.” Presented by: Marcia Garstin, M.S. from P&G pet care, the Iams Corporation. (RSVP by August 17th)
- October 28, 2009 at 6:30pm: MRI and CT- “What’s the difference? Exploring the different modalities of imaging.” Presented by: Sandy Conner, LVT (RSVP by October 19th)
